Individual, Couples & Family Therapy
Living with anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship/family discord can make each day seem like a struggle. Work throughh these difficulties with the help of an empathetic ear, and learn strategies to manage your life more efficiently. Psychotherapy is provided for children, adults, couples and families.
The first step in improvement is finding a cause, or diagnosis. With a specific, or comprehensive diagnostic assessment you can gain significant insight not only about limitations, but also strengths that can be used to improve overall functioning. Diagnostic assessments include treatment recommendation that can be used to improve yours or your loved ones' life. Diagnostic assessments can also be geared towards determining necessary accommodations for special education services, as well as for specific tests such as the SAT, ACT, LSAT, MCAT and GRE.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Behavior Analysis is the scientific study of behavior. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the application of the principles of learning and motivation from Behavior Analysis, and the procedures and technology derived from those principles, to the solution of problems of social significance. Many decades of research have validated treatments based on ABA.
Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Following a traumatic event, infants may display behavior and/or attachment problems. The primary goal of CPP is to support and strengthen the relationship between a child and his or her parent (or caregiver) as a vehicle for restoring the child's sense of safety, attachment, and appropriate affect and improving the child's cognitive, behavioral, and social functioning. Similarly, PCIT provides parents with direct coaching and support to appropriately respond to their child during play as well as difficult behaviors.
Positive Parenting Program (PPP)
Used in over 25 counties, and backed by over 30 years of research, PPP is a 10 week program that gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them confidently manage their children’s behavior, prevent problems developing and build strong, healthy relationships.
